Özet

In this study, the antibiotic resistance rates of 104 coagulase positive (CPS) and 135 coagulase negative staphylococci (CNS) isolated from various clinical specimens (blood, urine, post-operation wound, pus and catheter) were investigated by using disk diffusion test. The resistance rates of CPS and CNS were found as follows respectively; penicillin G 96.1% and 88.8%, ampicillin-sulbactam 42.3% and 46.6%, cefuroxime 48.0% and 51.4%, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole 28.8% and 38.5%, methicillin 46.1% and 44.4%, ofloxacin 33.6% and 35.5%, amikacin 35.5% and 34.8%, rifampin 38.4% and 40.0 percent. All of the strains were sensitive to vancomycin. Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus spp. were significant more resistant to other antibiotics than meticillin susceptible ones.
