Özet

In Munich Ludwig Maximilian University Eye Clinic 53 detachment cases, complicated with advanced proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR), were undergone pars plana vitrectomy between 1.6-31.12.1989. 45 of 53 cases were peroperatively successful (%85). In average 9 months follow-up, operation was repeated in 16 cases due to recurrence of detachment. At the end of follow-up in 31 of 35 cases the posterior pole were attached whereas detached 4 cases refused to the re-operation. Vision of 28 cases with attached retina was 5/100 or more, in 2 cases 1/35. In one case vision was achieved in hand movement level.
