Özet
Cellular cardiomyoplasty is an investigational technique that may have the potential to reduce myocardial infarct size and improve cardiac function in patients with ischemic heart disease. However, experience with this approach is still limited to a few small trials, some of which were not blinded or had other design problems. The mechanism of benefit, long-term safety, and clinical efficacy of cellular cardiomyoplasty require further study. © 2008 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
