Özet
It is a common fact that fatigue poses a significant safety risk and is one of the main factors leading to traffic accidents in the road transport sector. Globally it is estimated that 10%-40% of reported accidents are caused by driver fatigue, with a higher percentage of fatal accidents. Drivers have a quite stressful job, and it is widely recognized that these professionals face challenges in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and experience work-related stress due to various daily situations in their work environment, such as heavy traffic, environmental noise, and financial concerns. In addition the fact that drivers spend a significant amount of time in traffic is an important issue that can lead to physical and mental fatigue, reduce their focus, and cause them to lose steering control. The high levels of stress experienced by professional drivers have detrimental effects on their overall health.
