Özet
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease described with neuronal cell injury and is seen in older people. Among those with AD, the aggregation of pathological amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles results in irreversible deficits in memory, cognition. AD negatively affects daily life in old people and causes social and cognitive problems. Although the disease can be managed via pharmacological therapies, these modalities do not cure AD. As a result, numerous dietary strategies are being investigated to relieve symptoms and delay the progression of its underpinning pathologies. These include the Mediterranean, DASH, MIND, and ketogenic diets, as well as intermittent fasting. In this chapter, we briefly describe recent dietary therapies for AD.
