Özet
Although the small bowel contains 90% of the mucosal surface area of the alimentary tract, it accounts for only 1-2% of all gastrointestinal neoplasms. Adenocarcinomas are the most common small bowel tumor which is presenting usually at later stage. Early diagnosis is important for better prognosis. Tumor relapses usually occur in lymph nodes and may present with peritoneal carcinomatosis.In this paper a 52 years old patient with small bowel adenocarcinoma who has been presented with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting is reported. The evaluation and treatment from the first admission to 19th month control is discussed in accordance with the current literature.
