Özet
Gastrointestinal system (GIS) malignancies in children are rare. They can arise from lymphoid, epithelial, blastemal, and mesenchymal origins. They all represent less than 5% of pediatric neoplasm, but the true incidence is not well known because of the rarity of these tumors and different referral patterns. Primary gastrointestinal lymphoma is the most common GI malignancy. The frequency of hepatic tumors among childhood malignancies is 0.6–1.5%. Others including stomach, pancreas, colorectal, carcinoid, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors have a lower incidence rates. This chapter aims to provide an overview of the liver and gastrointestinal tract malignancies in children.
