Özet
Meralgia paresthetica (MP) is an entrapment neuropathy caused by damage to the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN). Typical clinical manifestations of MP are numbness, tingling, pain, and dysesthesia in the anterolateral thigh area. The disease course can be spontaneous or iatrogenic. Reduction of paresthesia after local anesthetic agent injection and nerve conduction tests are the most commonly used diagnostic methods. Conservative methods should be tried first in treatment, and surgery should be chosen for resistant cases.
