Özet

The hepatitis B virus (HBV) causes chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver failure, and cancer. If treatment is not started, it can lead to liver transplant and death. Drugs used in the treatment of HBV infection slow down or stop the damage to the liver, both liver and nonliver. We analyzed the drugs used to treat HBV infection because they have different properties. The presence of different drugs can sometimes cause confusion for doctors in practice. The fuzzy-based preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluations (PROMETHEE), which is one of the successful multicriteria decision-making techniques, was applied by using the guidelines of the specified HBV treatment drugs in order to decrease the complexity of the selection of the effective HBV treatment. While choosing the drugs for the treatment of HBV patients, different criteria have importance based on the doctors, the treatment methods, and the host. Drugs used in the treatment of HBV were evaluated and compared according to their criteria with the PROMETHEE technique. It was concluded that by using the fuzzy PROMETHEE method to evaluate the effectiveness of HBV regimens in the presence of different factors, tenofovir alafenamide, entecavir, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, lamivudine, telbivudine, adefovir, and pegylated interferon were found to be effective in the treatment of HBV infection, respectively.
