Özet
Ectopic thoracic kidney associated with right-sided Bochdalek hernia is an uncommon congenital anomaly. In this study 45-day-old baby girl who was admitted with respiratory distress as a new case of right-sided Bochdalek hernia associated with ectopic thoracic kidney is reported. Surgical exploration via laparotomy revealed malrotation of the intestine in addition to herniation of the bowel and the right kidney. Although this association is seen infrequently, preoperative diagnostic studies may prevent misdiagnosis. We substantially recommend treatment via laparotomy because of the high incidence of malrotation accompanying Bochdalek hernia, as well as, this approach aids in differentation between the bowel and ectopic kidney blood flows following the reduction of the hernia into the abdominal cavity.
