Özet
The incidence of remnant material in coronary artery lumen has been increasing parallel to the type and number of percutaneous coronary revascularization procedures. The tip of the guide wire can be broken in the distal vascular bed during either percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty or stent implantation and may cause problems related to coronary perfusion. This article reports the surgical withdrawal of the guide wire broken during a stent implantation to a patient with a stenosis of the left coronary descending artery.
