Özet
This study was performed in 80 ASA I and II patients. 40 patients inhaled 0.5-1% halothane and 40 patients inhaled 0.5-1% isoflurane with N2O-O2. All patients received 0.1 mg/kg, vecuronium bromide for initiation and 0.02 mg/kg for the maintenance. Neuromuscular blockade was evaluated by the response to the stimulation of the ulnar nerve train-of-four. The degree of blockade was determined by the observation of the quantity and characteristics of twitches following stimulation. The duration of neuromuscular blockade was longer with isoflurane than halothane. We concluded that isoflurane must be preferred since lower doses of neuromuscular blockers are required and adequate muscular relaxation obtained.
