Two cases of pulmonary tuberculosis with extrapulmonary involvement in tongue and anus

Özet
A 43-year-old case of pulmonary tuberculosis with tongue involvement and a 64-year-old case with anal involvement were admitted to our hospital. There was a painful ulcerative lesion in the tongue of the 43-year-old male case for 4 months. Tongue involvement was diagnosed prior to the miliary tuberculosis. The 64-year-old male patient was hospitalized due to pulmonary tuberculosis and anal tuberculosis was diagnosed thereafter. We report these two cases due to the rare occurrence of extrapulmonary tuberculosis involvement in the oral and anal region and we want to emphasize that tuberculosis should be taken into consideration in the differential diagnosis of the ulcers of these organs. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd.
