Özet
In this study, surgical and noninfectious complications in 135 renal transplant patients who were transplanted between 1980-1998 were evaluated retrospectively. The surgical complications were seen as follows; vascular problems in 16 (11.9%), vesico-ureteral leakage in 11 (8.1%), lymphocel in 4 (2.9%), renal hematomas in 3 (2.1%) and incisional hernia in 1 (0.7%) of these patients. The noninfectious medical complications included leukopenia due to azathioprine (AZA) in 9 (6.6%), hepatotoxicity due to AZA in 8 (5.9%), gingival hypertrophy due to cyclosporine (CsA) in 7 (5.1%), post-transplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM) in 7 (5.1%), nephrotic range proteinuria in 7 (5.1%), graft nephrectomy due to gross hematuria in 4 (2.9%), acute tubular necrosis (ATN) in 6 (4.4%), malignancy in 8 (5.9%), hypercholesterolemia in 66 (49%), hypertriglyceridemia in 43 (32.0%), posttransplant hypertension (PTH) in 64 (48%), acute rejection in 56 (41.4%), chronic rejection in 46 (34.4%), lost graft in 37 (27.4%) of them. In conclusion, in this study, complications resulting from immunological problems are at high rate while the surgical complications are at low rate suggests that ideal immunological approaches have not been able to be provided in renal transplant procedure, yet.
