Özet
Isaacs' syndrome (IS) is characterized by generalized muscle twitching, stiffness, cramps and continuous muscle-fiber activity. Therapy is based on antiepileptic drugs such as phenytoin and carbamazepine. Here we report a case of 21-yearold male with IS whose continuous muscle-fiber activity diminished clinically and was documented on electromyography by Botulinum type A toxin injection. In our opinion, clinicians may consider botulinum toxin type A in either the diagnosis or the treatment of IS. © Archives of Neuropsychiatry, published by Galenos Publishing.
