Özet

In our study we aimed to compare the hemodynamic effects of hydroxyethyl starch (HES) 6 % and ringer lactate preloading in spinal anaesthesia. Following hospital ethical committee approval and patient informed consent; 20 ASA I-II patients, scheduled for elective inguinal hernia operation, were randomly assigned to two equal groups. HES 6 % 7.5 mL/kg and ringer lactate 10 mL/kg were administered in Group I and II respectively as preloading. Just after the preloading, L3-L4 or L4-L5 spinal block was performed by 5 mL prilocaine 2 % in both groups. Cardiac index (CI), enddiastolic index (EDI), systemic vascular resistance index (SVRI), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were recorded before preloading, on the 10. and 20. min. of preloading, 10. and 20. min. after intrathecal prilocaine administration by thoracic electrical bloke method. MAP and CI increased significantly during preloading in both groups. While EDI was increased significantly on the 20th min. of HES preloading, a significant decrease was observed in SVRI and HR in both groups. Consequently, we conclude that both methods can be used as preloading in spinal anesthesia.
