Özet
Benign vocal fold lesions, such as vocal nodule, laryngeal polyp, mucosal hemorrhage, Reinke’s edema, intrachordal cyst, and sulcus vocalis, usually occur as a result of incorrect and excessive use of the voice. Excessive and irregular vibration of the vocal folds creates microtrauma and causes changes in the structure of the vocal folds. Although the most common cause is vibratory injury, the exact cause of benign pathologies of the larynx is not well known yet.
