Özet
Ampicillin and other penicillin derivatives may cause hemorrhagic colitis, whose characteristic features are mucosal hemorrhage and edema, and which presents with bloody diarrhea. It generally affects the right colon, but occasionally the entire colon may be involved. Cessation of antibiotic therapy results in clinical improvement and specific therapy is not neccessary. In this study, we present four hemorrhagic colitis cases caused by ampicillin- sulbactam.
