Özet

Depending on the dose, all the inhalation anaesthetics decrease hepatic perfusion and have negative effects on hepatic functions. Hepatic function disturbance, during the postoperative period, is not only due to the patient's medical status and type of the operation but also has a relationship with the metabolites of the anaesthetic agents and some possible immunological mechanisms. In this study, we evaluated the effects of sevoflurane, which is a new anaesthetic agent, on postoperative hepatic injury by monitoring the clinical condition of the patients and their hepatic function tests. Hepatic function tests, bilirubin levels and patients medical status were observed for 4 days in the postoperative period. As a conclusion, it has been demonstrated that sevoflurane is a safe agent for medium length operations.
