Özet
In recent years, the proportion of immunocompromised patients in the general population has increased due to prolonged survival due to their treatments [1, 2]. Pulmonary infections are among the most common invasive infections in immunocompromised patients. The number of potential pathogens that possibly cause pulmonary infections in immunocompromised individuals has increased due to various reasons, such as frequent immunosuppression treatment, prolonged patient survival, emergence of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens, and advanced diagnostic procedures [3]. Early diagnosis and treatment of these common and life-threatening lung infections are required. However, there are severe diagnostic difficulties in this patient group. The following are reasons for difficulties in diagnosis in this patient group [1–3].
