Özet
Acne vulgaris is a common skin disease among young population. Severe acne may result in cosmetic disfiguring if treatment is not started early. In addition, it may badly affect patients' personal relationship and self-confidence. We performed a study on the treatment of postadolescent female acne that is recently defined a clinical form of acne resistant to conventional treatment modalities. Between 1993 and 1995, 27 female patients with postadolescent female acne were given 2 mg cyproterone acetate + 0.035 mg ethinyl estradiol for 6 consecutive cycles, and satisfactory results were obtained.
