Özet
The management of patients with a giant omphalocele remains a challenging clinical problem. Although resection of the omphalocele sac and applying a prosthetic material (Silo procedure) that allowed external manual compression of giant omphalocele have been described clearly previously, it may have some problems such as repeating operations, and infection of the fascia with disruption of the suture line. The authors describe a successful noninvasive external compression technique with using an elastic string bag for the management of giant omphalocele in three newborn. This procedure allows a controlled nonoperative reduction of the herniated viscera without complication at the bedside.
