Atypical manifestations of V4 aneurysms: Persistent cough may be an initial symptom of an aneurysm

Özet
V4 aneurysms located in the posterior circulation of the brain can cause uncommon symptoms due to their distinctive position. Although many V4 aneurysms are diagnosed incidentally, there have been case reports of posterior circulation aneurysms causing symptoms due to their anatomic proximity to the brainstem. These symptoms can also be indicative of other medical conditions, so it's important to seek a professional medical evaluation. In some cases, patients with V4 aneurysms may not experience any symptoms at all. The current study reports two cases of V4 aneurysms with uncommon presenting symptoms. The first case was an unruptured V4 aneurysm causing neck pain, and the second one was a V4 aneurysm leading to chronic coughing, which caused a delayed diagnosis of a V4 aneurysm. Both aneurysms were treated with endovascular techniques and the patient's symptoms improved after the treatment.
