Özet
Adrenocortical tumors are rare in children. These tumors should be considered among the causes of peripheral precocious puberty, are often functional, whether treatment delays may also cause in central precocious puberty. 6 years old male patient was admitted suffer from penis enlargement. On physical examination weight, height and penis length were more than 97 th percentile and 90th percentile for age respectively. He was found to have pubic hair tanner stage 3, each of testis size 2 mL and a deep noteworthy voice. Patient can not be investigated because of his social security problem, two years later was admitted again increased symptoms. Extremely elevated DHEAS and testosteron levels patient adrenal ultrasound studies revealed mass in the left adrenal. Pathological assessment of total resection of the mass was consistent with adrenocortical carcinoma. Treatment with GnRH agonist was initiated to testicular volume 5 mL and elevated LH levels suggesting enclosed central precocious puberty. Copyright. © 2011 by Türkiye Klinikleri.
