Özet
Objective: The study aimed to evaluate pretreatment neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and prognostic nutrition index (PNI) as predictive factors for predicting clinical outcomes after definitive chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer. Methods: Patients with cervical cancer who received definitive chemoradiotherapy between 2017 and 2022 were retrospectively investigated. The pretreatment PNI and NLR were measured, and survival outcomes were evaluated. Results: We retrospectively analyzed 74 patients and were divided into a high NLR and PNI group (NLR ≥ 2.8 and PNI ≥ 49.5) and a low NLR and PNI group (NLR < 2.8 or PNI < 49.5). Patients with low NLR had higher DFS than patients in the other groups (2-year DFS, low NLR vs. high NLR, 81.6 vs. 60.2%, P < 0.05; 5-year DFS, low NLR vs. high NLR, 57.0 vs. 48.2%, P < 0.05). We showed that patients with a low PNI had shorter DFS (low PNI vs. high PNI, 2-year DFS, 60.8% vs. 79.0%, P < 0.05; 5-year DFS, 36.5% vs. 58.5%, P < 0.05). Conclusion: Pretreatment PNI values and NLR values can be used as simple and feasible predictors of survival outcomes for patients treated with chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer.
