Özet

OBJECTIVE: In this prospective randomized study it was designed to compare the effects of varying hormone replacement therapies on lipoprotein metabolism and cardiovascular system. STUDY DESIGN: Between 1995-1996, in 90 cases who were undergone hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy by various indications, were evaluated by the levels of serum lipid with three months intervals. The cases were divided in three groups. Group I 0.625 mg/day conjugated Premarin, was given Group II 50 μg 17β-Estradiol, Group III 2.5 mg Tibolon. The lipid profile was examined at initial visit and three months intervals. RESULTS: It was determined a dimunition of subjective compliances and improvement of the life quality of cases after these regimens. CONCLUSION: We think that, when the basal lipid profile is evaluated, all of these therapies applying for hormone replacement, can prevent the cardiovascular risk which is the most common reason of the death in postmenopausal women.
