Özet
Pelvic anatomy is quite difficult to understand. However, knowing the crucial points and connections of the anatomical landmarks will facilitate the learning of pelvic anatomy. This chapter focus on the surgical anatomy of pelvis, basic retroperitoneal anatomy for pelvic surgeons, with easy access points and clinical tips for surgical approaches. The retroperitoneum, the pelvic avascular spaces; prevesical, paravesical, pararectal, presacral, vesicovaginal and rectovaginal spaces, the pelvic ureter, the pelvic autonomic nerves; superior hypogastric plexus, hypogastric nerve, sympathetic and parasympathetic components of the pelvic splanchnic nerves and inferior hypogastric plexus, the pelvic vessels; external iliac artery and vein, internal iliac artery and its branches; uterine artery, obturator artery, superior gluteal artery, inferior gluteal artery, internal pudendal artery, superior vesical artery, and internal iliac vein are explained in this chapter with the figures of cadaveric dissection.
