Özet

Aim: Aim of this study was to compare the anaesthetic effects of 0.5%, 0.75% ropivacaine and 0.5% bupivacaine on axillary brachial plexus blocade. Material and Methods: 60 patients in ASA I-II aged 18-60 years for hand and forearm surgery were enrolled the study. All patients were premedicated with 0.02 mg kg-1 iv midazolam. Axillary block was performed 22 gauge needle with nerve stimulation technique. Patients separctcd into 3 groups. Patients received in group I (n-20) 40 mL 0.5% ropivacaine, in group II (n=20) 40 ml 0.75% ropivacaine and group III (n=20) 40 mL 0.5% bupivacaine. Hemodynamic parameters, onset of sensory and motor block, offset of sensory and motor block, local anaesthetic consumption per kg., side effects and sensory and motor block level in each stimulated nerves (musculocutanaeus, median, ulnar, radial) after axillary injection 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 30th minutes were recorded. Results: Onset of sensory block duration in group II was shorter than (p<0.01l) group I and (p<0.001) group III. Motor block duration in group II was significantly longer than (p<0.01) group I and (p<0.001) group III. Local anaesthetic consumption per kg. was significantly higher in group II than group I and III (p<0.05). Conclusion: We obsereved in this study that there was no superiorly found than 0.5% ropivacaine and 0.5% bupivacaine except onset of sensory block duration was faster with 0,75% ropivacaine during axillary block. We determined that 0.5% ropivacaine could be an other alternative local anestetic for 0.5% bupivacaine during axillary block.
