Özet
Rhabdomyolysis is a syndrom characterzed by injury muscle with subsequent release of intracelluler contents, include myoglobin, creatine phosphokinase, also lactate dehydrogenase, serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase and potassium. Although numerous causes of rhabdomyolysis have been described, the common terminal event appers involve distruption of Na, K-ATP'ase pump and calcium transport. Resulting in increased intracellular calcium and subsequently cell necrosis. The most common causes of rhabdomyolysis are alchol and drug abuse, toxin ingestion, trauma, infection, strenous physical activity and heat-related illness. All patients with suspected rhabdomyolysis require admission for İV hydration, diuresis, management of complications, and treatment of the underlying etiolgy. For at least the initial 24-48 h patient should probably be admitted to a monitored bed to identify dysrhythmias secondary to the metabolic complications.
