Özet
The use of tobacco and tobacco products is one of the biggest public health problems that continue to threaten human health in the world. According to the World Health Organization data, more than eight million people die annually from diseases caused by tobacco and tobacco products, and one million of those who die are not active smokers. Today, one billion adults in the world smoke; it is inevitable that other adults and children who do not smoke will be affected by cigarette smoke. Tobacco smoke contains over 7000 chemicals, many of which are toxic, hundreds of which are carcinogenic, and at least 70 of which have been found to cause cancer [1, 2]. The United States General Surgery Report published in 2006 reported that there is no doubt that exposure to cigarette smoke is harmful to human health [3].
