Özet
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the sacroiliac joints and spine. Renal involvement, apart from amyloidosis, is rare in AS. Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) occurs extremely rarely in patients with AS. We report here a case of biopsy proven FSGS associated with AS. The exact relationship between AS and FSGS needs to be elucidated. TNF alpha may be a possible mediator involved in the development of ASassociated FSGS.
