Özet
Antibiotic susceptibilities of 57 Enterobacter strains isolated from clinical specimens of patients who have nosocomial infections, were comparatively evaluated by dio-sensitest and disk diffusion methods, and the practicity and usefulness of dio-sensitest as a rapid susceptibility method were investigated. As a result, the highest resistance rates were found against cephalothin by both disk diffusion and dio-sensitest (80.7% and 87.7% respectively) whereas the lowest resistance were against ofloxacin (7.0% and 12.2% respectively) in the tested bacteria. However, the resistance rates that were detected by these methods against cefotaxime, trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole (TMP-SMX), aztreonam, tobramycin and amikacin did not show an agreement (p < 0.05).
