Özet

Biosensors are utilized greatly in fields such as diagnostics and patient monitoring in health care, quality control, and quality assurance in the food industry and detection of environmental pollutants. This is mainly because of the rapid, reliable, low-cost, and user-friendly detection capabilities of biosensors. To add, the integration of nanomaterials into biosensors to create a brand new area of nanobiosensors for even higher sensitivity and stability in detection has opened yet another gate for the market flow. Biosensors, all from the “macro” to the “nano” scale, got through the rippled path from scientific research to the market shelves with a fair speed throughout the past half-century. It is clear that the immense attention that biosensors and nanobiosensors get will provide a further leap in the mentioned fields.
