Özet
Since subglottic primary laryngeal cancers [1], which were first discussed by Isambert in 1876 in the literature, are rare, extensive institutional experience with these tumors is also limited. There are two trials published in 1970. The first one is Vermund’s in which more than 180 patients with primary subglottic cancer reported and the second one is Lederman’s series of 140 patients with subglottic cancer [2, 3]. Later, Stell published an about subglottic cancers [4]. In progress of time, the classification of these tumors realized to be incorrect because the series about subglottic cancers included tumors originating under the vocal cord, which are today known as glottic lesions.
