Özet
Metanephric adenomas (MAs) are benign renal neoplasms that originate from the embryonic tissue of renal medulla. Although there is histogenetic bond with nephroblastoma or Wilms tumor, it is seen rarely in pediatric population. Generally MAs are detected incidentally in imaging studies performed for different indications.. MA can sometimes be misdiagnosed as a malignant renal tumor, and causes unnecessary stress leading to overtreatment. We presented a 6-year-old female with MA who underwent partial nephrectomy and discussed the recommended therapeutic interventions by focusing on the diagnostic challenges and follow-up features of these rare tumors.
