Fifty seven percent was male and 43% was female of patients with stroke. The mean age was 61.1±14.6 years and the mean of length of stay was 44±24 days in patients with stroke. The leading causes of TBI were: motor vehicle accidents 69 (57.0%), gunshot wounds 32 (26.4%), falls 13 (13.7%) and other causes 7 (5.8%). Ninety one percent was male and 9.0% was female of patients with TBI. The mean age was 29.6±16.3 years and the mean of length of stay was 67±42 days in patients with TBI. While the incidence of TBI in patients under 45 years of age was 49% and 32% for the stroke; In patients over 45 years of age incidence of stroke was dominant (91%).
