Özet
Lyme arthritis (LA) is the most common late manifestation of Lyme disease (LD). It presents as monoarthritis or oligoarthritis and arthritis is not destructive in most of the cases. The diagnosis is based on clinical findings and serology. Antibiotic therapy is mandatory for LA treatment and very effective. In a small percentage of patients arthritis becomes persistent. These persistent cases can be treated with non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
