Hemolysis and acute kidney injury following intravenous artesunate therapy in severe falciparum Malaria: A case report

Özet
Severe malaria may be complicated by hemolysis after therapy. We report a case of severe falciparum malaria post-treatment delayed hemolytic anemia and acute kidney injury. The patient had received intravenous artesunate and doxycy-cline, and follow-on oral artemether/lumefantrine combination. Patients should be monitored for hemolysis and acute kidney injury for 4-6 weeks post treatment.
