Özet
Objective: The aim of the study is to evaluate women's satisfaction with the birth process and the affecting variables. The secondary aim is to evaluate women's satisfaction with doctors, midwives and nurses who take part in labor. Method: This cross-sectional and descriptive study included 200 women who gave birth vaginally. The study was conducted in a training and research hospital between August 2020 and January 2021. Data were collected using the Socio-demographic and Obstetric Characteristics Form, Satisfaction Form for Healthcare Team Members, Birth Satisfaction Scale (DME) and VAS via faceto-face interviews. SPSS 22.0 program was used in the analysis of the data. Results: The participants' DME score average was found to be 108.20 (SD=17.48). The satisfaction score for nurse/midwife practices was 9.26 (1.30, and the satisfaction score for doctor practices was 9.12 (SD=1.64). A significant, moderately positive correlation was found between birth satisfaction and nurse/midwife and doctor satisfaction (p<0.05). No significant difference was found between socio-demographic and obstetric variables and satisfaction levels. Conclusion: It is observed that a respectful, supportive and informative approach towards women during the birth process increases satisfaction. Therefore, it is recommended to develop women-centered empowering care models.
