Özet
The water quality of the Obruk Dam Lake on the Kizilirmak River was investigated for the first time, particularly microbiological and physicochemical parameters. The microbial contamination and exceedance of the chemical normative in some sites was detected. Considering the usage of the dam lake waters, water quality should be examined at certain periods and sources of pollution should be carefully determined; necessary measures should be taken to prevent the public health hazard.
