Özet
Terbinafine is an antifungal drug having many side-effects. One of these side-effects is hepatobiliary dysfunction including acute hepatitis. In this study, a case of toxic hepatitis due to terbinafine is presented. Our case was defined as toxic hepatitis due to oral tebinafine, because there was no clinical and laboratory findings but oral terbinafine intake and clinical and laboratory findings were normalized after cessation of terbinafine. Indications:1 patient with an unspecified disease. Patients:One patient. TypeofStudy:Toxic hepatitis due to Lamisil was presented. A case report. DosageDuration:Dosage and duration not stated. Results:Patient developed toxic hepatitis due to oral Lamisil, because there was no clinical and laboratory findings but oral intake of Lamisil and clinical and laboratory findings were normalized after cessation of Lamisil. AdverseEffects:Patient developed toxic hepatitis. FreeText:Laboratory tests done were determination of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) blood level, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) blood level, alkaline phosphatase blood level, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, and prothrombin time.
