Özet
Massive arterial gas embolism is a complication that has a low probability of occurring during cardiac surgery but can cause high mortality and morbidity. It is very important that the surgical, anesthetic, and perfusion teams cooperate in the management of massive gas embolisms. In this article, we discuss the successful management of a massive air embolism that occurred during cardiopulmonary bypass. The patient was discharged from the hospital without complications on the 7th postoperative day. The article emphasizes the importance of a careful anesthesiologist monitoring the surgical field during surgery.
