Özet

For the healthy growth and development of school-age children, nutrition and physical activity are of great importance. Adopting healthy lifestyle behaviors is essential for children to maintain their health and well-being throughout their lives. School nurses play a critical role in ensuring that children have a healthy lifestyle. School nurses are responsible for assessing children's nutritional and physical activity habits, encouraging them, raising awareness through health education, and finding solutions to their nutritional and physical activity-related problems. School nurses also play an active role in the development of school and community resources and in the implementation of support programs. These responsibilities not only support the growth, development, and cognitive functions of children but also play a critical role in preventing chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes. Therefore, the supportive roles of school nurses in nutrition and physical activity are crucial for both children to have a healthy future and for the overall health of the community in the long term.
