Özet
Two groups of equal number of patients were studied to determine the hemodynamic and muscle relaxant effects of atracurium. Group I consisted of 8 patients who had normal renal functions and group II of patients who required renal transplantation. The induction was performed with 0.5 mg fentanyl, 5 mg/kg thiopentone and 0.5 mg/kg atracurium. Anaesthesia was maintained with 50-50% O2-N2O and 0.5% halothane. Heart rate, mean arterial blood pressure (MAP), mean pulmonary arterial pressure (MPAP), cardiac output (CO), arterial blood gases and the responses to train of four (TOF) were recorded before induction, after intubation, at the first and third hour of surgery and after the extubation. Our results suggest that atracurium has no cumulative effect, both in anephric patients and in normal patients. Also it is concluded that it performs suitable intubation conditions for both groups without any significant difference.
