Özet
Intolerance of liver to ischemia is well known. Ischemic intolerance is an important problem on liver transplantation. The upsetted calcium balance at cell level during hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury play the most important role on ischemia. At this report we established hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury at rats and investigated the effects of verapamil which is a calcium channel blocker on this injury. Hepatoduodenal ligament is clamped for 20-40 minutes. SGOT, SGPT and ALP were studied on the blood sample taken in 24 hours and one week after hepatoduodenal occlusion was stopped. At a result we have seen that verapamil had a protective effect an hepatic ischemic-reperfusion injury. Calcium channel blockers are hopeful drugs for protection of tissue damages from ischemia especially during transplantation and surgical trauma or operations of liver.
