Özet
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of dental technicians’ experience on the shear bond strength (SBS) of ceramic fused to metal restorations. Methods: Totally 32 casting cobalt–chromium (Co-Cr) disc-shaped (r = 10 mm diameter, h = 1 mm height) specimens were prepared for 2 experimental groups [group 1: untrained dental technician, group 2: conversant dental technician] (n = 16 per group). Ceramic was applied to the disc specimens (h = 4 mm height, r = 6 mm diameter), and their SBS was measured with a universal testing device. Results were statistically analyzed using the Student’s t-test (α = .05). Results: According to the Student’s t-test, no statistically significant differences were seen between the 2 groups (P = .270). Conclusion: The experience of the dental technicians did not affect the bond strength of casting Cr-Co alloys.
