Özet
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic and chronic disease caused by the combination of a sedentary lifestyle and genetic factors. Increasing life expectancy, the increase in the elderly population, and the fight against diabetes and its complications are becoming important social problems. Despite known debridement, antibiotherapy, and surgical approaches, amputations due to diabetic foot threaten human health and cause an increase in the resources allocated by the states to health. Therefore, there is a need for new treatment approaches besides known and established treatments. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments, which are encouraging right now, have given satisfactory results in the treatment of patients with diabetic foot. The isolated and combined development of ischemic and neurological processes on different grounds from patient to patient in the formation of diabetic ulcer complicates a single treatment approach. With the understanding that there is no disease, there is a patient, a detailed examination of each patient, and a detailed examination of the formation of the diabetic foot appear to be effective in the wound healing of PRP, which is started on an appropriate basis, and in preventing the loss of limb of the patient. For this treatment to become widespread, it needs to be tested in larger populations and a timeline of proven literature.
