Özet
Achillea L. is a genus of small herbs and shrubs found in northern temperate regions. It belongs to the important family Asteraceae, which comprises about 140 species. Achillea has a broad spectrum of bioactivity due to the presence of several active secondary metabolites. It has widespread biological activities and has been used as traditional medicine since ancient times for spasmodic gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and gynecological disorders as well as against inflammation and for wound healing. This chapter comprises updated information about the traditional uses and health benefits of various Achillea species.
