Özet
The Epidermal turnover increases in psoriasis. Several methods have been proposed for evaluating cell kinetics on histological material, and some of them have been applied to the study of psoriasis. One technique recently introduced is immunohistochemical labelling for proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). The purpose of the present study is to demonstrate Koebner phenomenon with PCNA staining method. A trauma was formed with needle in regions without lesions in 18 patients with plaque type psoriasis. The place where the needle was applied and the psoriatic lesions were biopsied after 15 days. In addition skin biopsies were performed in 10 healty inviduals, the number of cells that are stained with positive PCNA at the needle site biopsies were similar to psoriasis and they were more than the ones appearing at the normal skin.
