Özet
A tailored approach is required in neonatal anesthesia due to the unique anatomical and physiological characteristics of neonates. The immaturity of organ systems, limited cardiopulmonary reserves, and altered metabolism of drugs all contribute to the complexity of anesthetic care. This chapter extensively discusses perioperative management, including preoperative evaluation, operative management, pharmacology, and postoperative care. There is a special emphasis on preventing complications such as postoperative apnea, hemodynamic instability, and hypothermia using evidence-based approaches and multidisciplinary team care.
